Commander of the Shinsengumi, ISAMI KONDO’s signature sword lives on in chopstick form, black with hilts of gold and red. The tall Shinsengumi vice-commander and developer of “Shinsengumi-Kenjutsu” TOSHIZOU HIJIKATA wielded a blade with a black and gold design and speckled red and black scabbard that you can use at the dinner table. This spaceflight put man on the Moon for the first time on July 20, 1969 as millions of TV viewers around the world watched with anticipation. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the two American astronauts to walk on the lunar soil of the southern Sea of Tranquility. They arrived aboard the Lunar Module (LM) that had been christened Eagle in honor of the bald eagle, the national bird of the USA. For the first time, the Lunar Module is being offered in 1/48 scale. This larger scale permits more detail and offers greater scope for it to be set in a lunar diorama scene. Alternatively, the model works extremely well as a stand alone desktop decoration. The Redstone was selected because of its good safety record, and an upgraded Rocketdyne engine was combined with a Mercury spacecraft. The full rocket launch system is captured perfectly in miniature, and the Redstone rocket stems from all-new toolings.
