In Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Luke Skywalker was assigned the wing position of Red Five and flew his X-Wing Starfighter in the Battle of Yavin against the Empire's mightiest weapon, the dreaded Death Star. As an X-Wing pilot, Luke wore a distinctive helmet. The helmet prop was made from an APH-6B Vietnam-era flight helmet used by the United States Navy, and it included a dual visor cover.
